Rookery, Kangaroo Island, isolated and pristine. Vineyard 35 deg 45 mins South. Warm 1500 heat degree days ( HDD ) Maritime. Cool Summers and warm Winters.
Soils - sandy loam over clay. Limestone parent material.

VINTAGE

The 2009 growing season conditions on Kangaroo Island were extreme, very hot and dry and because of this we could only pick small amounts of selected fruit. However the fruit that was picked was of high quality.

TASTING NOTES

Aroma; Clean and fresh aromatics.
Palate; Some boiled lollies, musk sticks with a sweet fruity finish.
Assessment; Bright tight acidity.
Serve; Chilled, and try with Anitpasto selection or with spicy salt and pepper Squid.
